This is horrible. She just wants to make me mad. She'll think I like a guy just cuz i dance with him!! She hates loud rap, or any kind of hip hop. So then why the **** is she chaperoneeing????

I feel so bad for you and she may be doing it to be nosy and screw up your plans for hooking up with guys or she may just want to feel involved in your life. Hopefully she will stay out of sight and you can pretend she is not there.

To be honest with you I would feel flattered if my Mom would have wanted to do that when I was a teen. My Mom didn't get involved with anything and assumed alot of things that she created in her own mind. If she could have been more in touch what was going on in our lives, maybe she would have stopped all of the negativity. Really, why would you care......unless you plan on doing something that might not be good for you or your family's reputation. There are alot of really cool parents out there and shutting them out can sometimes hurt you as well as them when you really don't need to. There is more than 1 dance during the school year, so welcome her with open arms and she will definately feel you have nothing to be ashamed of...especially her. HAVE FUN!!!

your mom don't have any trust for you and she shouldn't because it sounds like you have been hiding relationships from her also just so you know as a older person i would like to tell you that sometimes we think it will be fun to go hang out at a dance it makes us feel younger and more youthful who knows maybe she will see that you are not the only girl dancing with boys and respect your space i think if you don't argue with her about it and tell her that she is going to have so much fun it will be fun for both of you you can also get creative and send flyer's around school telling all the guys to ask her to dance don't you think that would be funny all the 14 yo guys trying to dance with your mom just relax it will be fine

Maybe she just wants to get out of the house for a while and have some fun, is there anything wrong with that! Come on!!! She could probably care less with what you are doing, as long as you are having a good time and not doing stupid stuff!

Maybe ur mom wants to try to be closer to u or to find stuff out about u. maybe u should try talking to her. explain to her that just cuz u dance with a guy doesnt mean u like him. palease! its just 1 dance! if she gets mad then i would suggest wearing a mask for the rest of ur life. haha. jk.

It could be that she wants to hang out around you. If she thinks you like this guy and you do, just talk to her about it, introduce him to her, make her see what kind of guy he is. So she will have a better understanding of your feeling.

Maybe she wants to better understand you and the way that your world works. Maybe she wants to make sure you're not doing drugs or drinking instead of going to the dance. Either way, I'm sure she wants to make sure that you're doing alright.
