i have a family history of glaucoma, my father, uncle and grandfather all have it and have had it since their mid to late twentys except my father was a pothead most his life he didn't get it until he was forty, i was wondering how i can obtain a medical marajuana card in Oregon, if i have to wait until i have glaucoma or if i can get it now to help stave it off until i am older. i have one eye and i really don't want my vision more limited.

that was because he let the smoke on his face, into his eyes, that is why he went blind, most tobacco smokers don't go blind

lea B i don't know what propaganda they are teaching you in your school, but my father smoked marijuana and didn't get glaucoma until he stopped using it (if he does now its occasionally) which happens to be almost twenty years later then other men in my family who were barely older than me who never smoked marijuana, so don't tell me that marijuana doesn't help prevent, it is lies that they told you

Marijuana is not considered to be a first line treatment in glaucoma, but a third line. There are many main line treatments available for said disease. All glaucoma treatments, which I know of, are not preventive in nature. They start when the disease start.

Go to an Ophthalmologist and have surgery. With pot you might get blind faster. I heard of somebody who smoke cigars and he turned blind in his late forties. This is not a joke.
