We've 'dated' with an online relationship for a year, we are in our late 30's. He's moving here and going to look for a job and visa sponsorship (he has a lead on that already). Anyone have experience with this type of relationship? I'm worried about him having to go back to his country and us getting weary of the immigration process in the states ( I live in Texas).

We've spent the summer together and two other holidays for a week each. I have 3 children from a previous marriage. He's getting a work visa so it's not ME he's relying on to be legal here. I think that's the best way to make sure feelings are 'real'

where is he moving from???

i am about to move from Australia to the US but have undergone the visa process that allows us to get married in 3 months. we have been dating for 5 years and we have no doubt that this will work. may i suggest that check out the correct visa process so that you dont get in trouble later on.

good luck. beware of the man who is after a marriage visa or your money. if this love then there is no reason it can't work. meeting people on the internet seems to be the way to go. i would meet him first before he moves over. that is a massive amount of pressure that you are putting on yourself and the relationship. also do you have kids?
