I really wantto get braces, becuz they look cool and stuff, but are they really???

they do a little bit at first your mouth is sore then everytime they tighten then up

I just got braces about a week ago and i can honestly say that the do not hurt when they are put on, after a few hours your teeth will become tender and a little sensitive, but they do not hurt, they will if you eat something hard within the first 3 days after having them put on, but otherwise NO and if you are experiencing some discomfort take some over the counter pain killers eg, Advil, tylenol, nurofen, panadol etc, this should make you feel better. I would not lie to you, i had 6 teeth extracted 2 weeks ago and still had stitches when i went to get my braces and felt no pain at all, so you should be fine!

Braces don't hurt but it is uncomfortable for a couple of days each time you have to get them tightened. Oh and before you even get them on they put little rubberbands (called spacers) in between your teeth and they are really not that fun. It feels like you have big chunks of something in your teeth and you really want to dig them out with a toothpick. But the end result of everything is worth it.

YES! they are going to hurt at the begining but you'll get use to them eventually.
What hurts the most are the spacers that they put between the molars, (to create space for the bands that go around the second molars).
Get them if you really need them, I don't think is such a good idea just for looks! I mean is not that much fun.

Yes, mine hurt for 2 years really bad. But if something is wrong they make you look better. I had an overbite and whenever they tightened them, they hurt a lot. I think they will not give you them if you do not need them. Also tooth decay can be much worse but they warn you about it.

for the first few days but then they get better...a lil word of advice eat the hardest food that u can tolerate untill the constint pain goes away...if u baby them the pain lasts longer

i cant believe im reading this, braces suck! they hurt, really really hurt, there is NOTHING cool about them, only human cruelty!

Hey, i'm getting braces to. Everybody tells me that they are gonna kill me. But you can take medications for it. And you can also put wax on your braces so they won't poke you. Oh and your ID picture is really hot.
