Some people claim this has happened to them, but I'm not at all sure I believe them. I do believe, however, that you can easily disqualify somebody simply by corresponding with them. What do you think?

I think it's possible but not very likely. There is too much dishonestly online. It's a form of entertainment for most and most people forget that there is a real person on the other end that may be a trusting sort! However, I've talked with people who claim it has happened to them. I think one thing in it's favor is that you actually get to know someone's personality (if the honesty is there) without the physical aspect overshawdowing the relationship.

very good question, In fact I asked it myself a couple of weeks ago, Yes it is very possible I am in this situation myself right now, I guess if you were to believe in "love at first sight" then why not "love at first few IM's?" lol It's actually MUCH better than meeting in person right away because you actually take the time to get to know each other. Me and my On-line Love talk on the phone at least 2-3 times daily, and several emails, text messages etc.... Will be meeting soon, But feel as though I already know him, In fact MORESO than my last face to face relationship! As long as the other person is legit, you have to do a little homework, but it's really no different than meeting someone at the bar, In fact at the bar your judgement is messed up, Mr. Handsome looks like Mr. Horrible the next time you see him. But bottom line, YES, it happens, DAILY!

I agree with you completely. I think that a lot of people online make themselves into the person that they want to be. Then falling in love with that "person" isnt really falling in love with them at all. If you don't like that "person" then obviously there's nothing to talk about. Everything this person is and aspires to be is something you dont like. Despite all this though, I'm sure there are some people who say that they really have fallen in love with someone online for real. TO me, it's too risky because it's so easy to lie online.

Love is a magic . Can click anywhere, anytime to anybody .
You just need to give it some time to nourish .
We all have a certain kind of image for the person we want to spend our lives with & when we meet somebody with those traits.........the magic starts . So you can say we actually, at times & not always, love the traits & end up loving the person with those qualities irrespective of looks . I guess this is what happens in online love . Other times, we love the person for what he/she is & not what we have always visualized .

It might be possible to fall in love if you let your guard down enough, and don't give common sense any ground. It's very unlikely that the relationship, in that state, could sustain itself. Plus, people doctor up stuff about themselves online all the time.
Beware.

Of course, But hopefully the person they fell in love with is the REAL person and Personallity so they fell in love with the real preson. The nice thing is that if so then they fell in love with the inside not the outside first.

i don't think so. you really can't connect with that person if you don't have that personal time, the time when you get to see her and hear her voice and hold her hand. See what she's like not just words you never know whose on the other side of the keyboard typing.

Sure it's possible, but you need to take into consideration that nothing is what it appears on the internet. I'm Elmer J. Fudd..I own a mansion & a yacht. See?????
Good luck

You can't control feelings, especially of another.Love has different prerequisites for all of us.Put people in a position where they have contact in any way and it is inevitable.Especially when you have the anonymity the Internet provides,
