He's not actually mad at you, he is stressed out and feeling threatened. He is totally on edge and he might take it out on you just instictively. The way he sees things:
There is a new cat moving in on his territory.
There is a kitten in his territory, which means a protective momma cat nearby (to him, he doesn't know about animal shelters and the like).
There is a kitten in his territory, which means some male cat other than him is fathering kittens in the area (same thing).
He will settle down in time. It helps if you can restrict the kitten to one room and let the adult cat wander the rest of the house for about a week, before re-introducing them.
There is a nice thing you you can get from the vet, Feliway I think it is called, that is a calming pheromone for cats. We have found that it works really well to calm our 3 male cats when we foster a new kitten. It is kind of expensive though.

Definitely jealous. My cat is very territorial, and once I petted the neighbour's cat that came up to our door, with my cat watching from inside the house. When I went inside, she basically attacked my feet & chased me into the kitchen!! LOL An hour later she was purring in my lap. You cat will get over it, just make sure you give her as much attention, if not a little more, than the new cat.

He just has to get used to the new addition to the family. He's angry at you because he's jealous of the new cat, like the cat's getting more attention than he is. Here's some advice, you should spend a lot of time with your old cat and show him that you still love him, but also spend some time with the new cat.

He's probably thinking how could you do this to me?! Dont worry he will get over it... eventually. Until then try to appeal to his good side. Try spending time alone with him and giving him a treat. Then try to get to the point to where you can pet him again. I would wait a couple of weeks and if he is still acting like this I would ask your vet. He might know an easier way.

Yes, just give it some time and make sure you give your cat extra love and attention. When my son was born my cats hated me. It took about a month for them to adjust and now we are one big happy family!

If your cat trusts you most, was always most likely to obey you, etc., he probably thinks you're the "alpha" human of the house, and therefore, you could prevent this little one from entering.
And of course, he's jealous.
He'll get over it.
