No. Souls are said to be imparted to a fetus at the moment of conception(fertilization of egg by sperm), which is why prolifers are so adamant about the sacredness of a fetus...although not the only reason. This is a change however since the Catholic church years ago had said that a fetus did not have a soul until the "quickening" which was when the egg began do divide exponentially, some weeks after conception

In my opinion, the soul is consciousness. I think that a soul is only present when the brain starts to develop, so in answer to your question: no, I don't think that sperm and eggs have souls. If they do, then every cell in our bodies have souls and we should be collecting all the dead hair and skin cells that slough off each and every day.....to bury them and release their souls.

Nope and nope. Even a fundie pro-lifer would have to agree with that. Since the average male produces 10's of 1000's of sperm every day, that would be a very crowded heaven.

You people are absolutely sick eggs and sperm do not have souls
If that were the case, then we'd all have our one nonexistient soul and millions of others souls in one body.
Do you not see how illogical your questions and answers are?

No. I would think life starts when the heart begins to beat. That's when the soul enters into the world.

Just like it leaves the world when the heart stops beating.
