How do I get faster besides running?

2 suggestions from a guy that played college football - run in a swimming pool...we're talking all out sprint work - the natural resistance of the water will make your muscles stronger - pump your arms and get your knees up and you will notice results quickly - also, you have to run hills - running up hills at maximum effort will help develop fast twitch muscle fibers which in turn will get you to run faster - good luck

Really, to run faster, the best way is to run faster! lol You can walk fast, and throw in a interval walk run every now and then to change it up. I have friends that run, and this is what they do is run, of course they do cross training too, other sports to mix it up.
What you are wanting to train is your heart, to help you run faster, and this means speeding it up and keeping it that way at a nice steady pace, the stronger your heart and lungs, the longer you can run, hope this makes sense!
Be sure to train your upper body too, as some runners neglect this, and then get too thin here.

Speed work. The only way to become faster is to train for it. But also work on endurance. Good luck!

Haha! That's not possible. You have to run to get better and faster, a lot has to do with breathing too.

You need to build muscles in your legs to get more power. More power on each stride = fater runner.
I recomend feeweight squats, lunges and leg workouts you can do on machines (if you have access to machines)

You can also to interval training, but im assuming that you are already doing that.

this might sound dumb but run down hill(not a joke) cuz it stretches your ligaments also do this calf exercise,,, get on the ball of your toes and repeatedly bounce up as fast as you can while doing this make sure not 2 bend your legs, this will also increase your vertical jump
