so here's the story:i'm in high school. this guy kept on asking me for answers on history tests. then, a day before school ended he called my name out on the street.. and i didn't give it to him.. and his friends don't know me. so i dunno how he got it.. but it was impressive. so that was last year. this year, we have a class together, but it's been almost 4 weeks and he hasn't even said hello to me. nonetheless, i constantly find him staring at me. what does he want? maybe he won't talk to me because he's kind of popular and there's 3 popular girls in our class.. might that be the reason? what's his problem? does he like me or not?

wow, these other answers suck.
the guy likes you, that's why you catch him taking glances at you. the only reason he won't talk to you is because you ignored him last year. in his mind he's thinking "she's probably freaked out by me, she's probably tired of all this and i shouldn't approach her now, etc, etc".
if you don't like him, just make it clear. you don't have to approach him and tell him straight up, but you can say it to him through actions. an observant guy will take the hint. like give him an annoyed look or something.
if you do like him, just smile when you make eye contact.

HI i had the same problem when i was in school. I liked this guy and i think he liked me but would never date me said i wasnt the kind of girl to date but the kind you marry. ... anyway he would do things to make me jelouse and one day he up and moved away. after 30 years he contacted me and we got together for one day been 3 years since i seen him. so my advise to you dont waist your time on him .

he may have a crush on u but since u say he's popular he thinks he has to be with a popular girl u should try to talk to him and show him what ur like and ur personality good luck

He likes you but hes to popular to care about you he is stuck up and snobby just forget about him dont look at him just totally ignore his looks and everything.....if he really likes you he'll talk to you. Good Luck

Sounds to me like he thinks he's somebody he's not. Guys sometimes treat people badly in order to make themselves feel better about themselves. Ignore him and he will go away.
