Accoring to Buddhism a Bodhisatvva is an enlightened being who, out of an imense sense of compassion, tries to help others become enlightened. I believe that when you strip the superstition from Jesus's teachings they are very much like Buddha's. Could they be so alike because they were both inspired by the same experience: Nirvana?

Yes, but I believe Jesus helped any who he could while he was alive, just as Buddha did. Buddha forced no one to follow his path, and neither did Jesus, but Jesus helped all who were willing.

You're not the first to ask this - there are similarities in some of the teachings. Especially the Gospel of Thomas, although of course its authenticity has been disputed.

As for the rest, one man's superstition is another man's religion, and vice versa.

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus are simply a waste of time. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. %-}

No. Jesus was a cult leader. He does not qualify for a bodhisattva because he was intolerant of those who did not agree with him. Bodhisattvas are bound to help every living person reach enlightenment. Jesus only cared about his followers.
