How do you define romance? Is it when a man sends you flowers for no reason at all? Or if he notices a new blouse? Is it romantic to sit and cuddle with no thought of sex? Or to call you at work to tell you he loves you?
Romance is such a fragile expression. It can mean many things to many people. To some it is buying a dog together. To others just sitting eating bad take-out.
I try to treat any woman I'm with with kindness and respect. Anything less is less than romantic.

there are some.

i can't just claim to be romantic because that would sound stupid. however, as a child, i grew up watching a lot of korean dramas with my family, many of which are centered around love relationships. i can't say it's a fact, but i believe introverts are more likely to be romantic. they spend more time thinking instead of acting. personally, being an introvert, i've gained an empathetic point of view. i've seen my friends get into relationships only to turn sour and whatnot. from their mistakes i learn. i don't know how romantic i would be when the time comes (still single at 21) but i feel that once i can open up, i'll let my feelings show.

****, if i cry to emotional scenes, i better be romantic right? if not, i'm just a sissy huh?...pfff whatever.

but uh.. as for girls...they got to have some sort of standard if they want a romantic guy. call me a liar but i'll turn down any girl if they are known to be easy or have been in a lot of relationships. even 1 different partner a year is too much in my book.

it does sting when a girl you think is innocent isn't so..

I wouldnt call myself Romantic but ive been told I am very much so. For me its a natural want to make my loved one feel special and happy but I got the specifics while growing up. Its a mind frame and a full understanding that makes a romantic man, training one only adds a cover to there natural stupidity.

Romantics are a dying breed that is for sure but not extinct as of yet . you see guys think romantic is stylish and sexy , girls from what I can gather over my years think romantic is honest attentive and old fashioned ( with manners and a certain amount of charm ) there are guys out there like that but you have to look long and hard to find them . you wont find them in bars that's for sure
I like to think I am a bit of a romantic but I cant say that it was much of my doing i was raised with three sisters so i have a fare idea of what my sisters saw in the guys they dated and I emulated that . I must admit though most of the ladies I dated before marrying wanted to be treated as just that ladies ,

I was raised with morals and a godly up bringing. I was taught both by my mother and father how to treat people in general. My kindness unfortunately has misled many women to believe i was flirting in which i clearly was not. My wife was the opposite when i met her she really didn't want nothing to do with me. All the flirting and kindness she didn't read into( the only woman i can say that about) eventually i won her over, heart and soul, we've been together now 10 years with three beautiful children. It's all in god's timing.

I like going that extra mile... for example for my ex gf I woke up at 530 am to make drive to a mountain with a crater lol... at the bottom of the crater theres rocks... it took me an hour but i spelt out 'I LOVE YOU'... I couldnt afford much then lol... I took her back there to the top of the mountain and had her look down... is that romantic enough??

The romantic man only exists in our heads and on the movie screen.

I've fought 2 wars and spent countless years in the Army. Needless to say, romanticism does not come naturally to someone like me.

It is the love for my wife that makes me a romantic man. I want to make her happy and show her what she means to me. When it comes to romanticism, she is my muse.

Sure there are things we can learn, but the love you have for someone brings out the natural romanticism.

Don't get discouraged. You'll find them out there.

Sometimes guys do have to be taught this. You can do simple things to teach him. Like tell him what your fantasies are about romantic things. Some guys just have to be told what you want. They cannot read your mind nor do they have manuals on how to treat you.
