Frontline Plus is a very effective flea and tick product that is applied to the nape of the neck as a once a month flea treatment product. It is very safe and does the job. If you are not having any issue's with ticks then there is another product called Advantage. It is also very effective and is applied in the same way once a month as well. Don't use over the counter stuff. They can be toxic to the animal and most of the time they don't work. I know this because I am a Veterinary Asst. Good Luck. Tammy

Talk to your vet. But from personal experience, I've used Frontline on my cat. It works wonders. Also consider buying a spray for the carpet, because in most cases, there will be fleas there as well. Carpet sprays like Bengal work well. But the sprays from the vet's clinic work better. Good luck.

give them bathes (yes I know what a pain in the rump this is as I have a bath hating cat myself) with flea shampoo then get that Advantage flea stuff for cats from your vets office. The Advantage is a little expensive but it is worth it because you only have to use once a month.

I purchase "Advantage" a small tube from my local Veterinarian
for $18.00. This is a 1x a month treatment. They stop scratching and itching almost immediately. You snip it open and
squeeze in onto the back of their neck. My last treatment was actually just over 2 mos. ago and she is just now beginning to scratch again. If your cat hates baths(they usually do) yet my cat is ok with it, for the most part.:.. then what I do is regularly 'sponge' bathe her,.. just using a soapy( regular shampoo, diluted) is fine,..washcloth and a dry towel her off after.
~ good luck~

advantage or frontline...baths work too with baby shampoo...it brings the fleas to the surface of the fur and you can comb them out with a flea comb. if you choose to buy frontline or advantage, check on the web for cheap prices and buy in bulk. it will save you lots of money!!!

well if they are old enough try flea medication such as advantage also bathing them seems to help. Bathing a cat can be a chore and a half I started bathing mine when they were just a few weeks old so they're used to it.

I find the best way would be...buy the Advantage, or Frontline is what I but. It's like $50.00, but it works, and it last's for 3 months. But hopefully with the cold weather coming, you won't need to!

Yeah Frontline Plus is expensive...I should know I just bought some today for my cats and dog. However it is well worth it as I have used many remedies from drug stores, grocery stores, feed stores, you name it and none ever equaled Frontline. Well worth the price.
