Actually Satan is a very intelligent free thinker (a free thinker must be nice, not corrupted with religious hate) and when he was the serpent in the garden, he simply told Eve that god lied, she would not die if she ate the fruit
Satan was the good guy in genesis, not god.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan hates God, because God cast him out of heaven and because Satan wants to be God.
Because Satan lost his battle he intends to win the war with us by making us reject God and turning away from Him as he did. Satan hates you and me, because God made us after the angels and saved us from our sins.
The ultimate win for Satan with us is to make us kill ourselves, because suicide is the ultimate rejection towards God, because it is rejecting the life God gave you.
Matthew 16:23
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

Jesus said this about Satan, "...He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood by the truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie he speaks in character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44)
Why on earth would I want a cup of tea with him?

SATAN DOES NOT HAVE ANY POWER OVER ME. I PUT A FULL ARMOR OF GOD AROUND ME.
I leave entertaining Satan to people who do not wish to be with God after they die.
