Complain more, stand up for your rights, don't be aggresive but be assertive, say NO, this is not acceptable. Return faulty goods, yucky food, etc. We are not at the mercy of shop girls and boys. Go out there and make it happen. We will never progress as a society if we just let shop staff tread us down. Are you with me?

Trust me, the British do complain try working in a supermarket for a day then you'll know, oh and while we're on the subject most shop staff are there to help you and not 'tread you down' so give them a break!

Heck no. People these days are spoiled. If you start complaining about smaller things then soon the smallest of things will become an issue. Of course there is a time and place for these things. Im not saying to accept everything because then we wouldnt have people like Martin Luther King. Im just saying choose your battles. Look im not from England so I cant really say anything on your behalf, its just im my experience there are so many people where I live that are so annoying. Now they believe they have rights they dont (they find excuses to make themselves better than everyone else) Im just saying that you dont want that, so I would be careful who all you encourage to stand up.

That's why everything is so bloody expensive! The B******'s know no one will say a thing - look at the taxes on fuel in the UK. Amazingly high and all under the banner of an environmental tax...It was expensive before "Green" issues became fashionable. Come on people this guy is right!!!

I say the opposite is true. What upsets me is that people don't hesitate to compain when they feel service is poor or below average. BUT they NEVER promise to praise or compliment when they have been surprised or have received above average service.

A small suggestion, work in a call centre or as a shop assistant for a while and then find you change your mind. most of the customers are ignorant, obnoxious snobs......
