Well, she might have been through something traumatic when she was out as a stray, I have 4 ferals and one still have issues, but don't give up on her, she will come around, just show her love and she will warm up to you and not run from you anymore.
Good luck.

First, 7 weeks is a little young to leave her mother, so she's no doubt feeling stressed out from being away from Mom, and also feeling sometimes like she needs to cling to you as her substitute Mom. It's like she's saying "I want my real mom! Oh, please take care of me..."

What she needs from you is contact and consistency. Our most recent cat (we have five now, I've always had cats since I was a baby) was a stray/rescue, and she was like this when we got her; sometimes she was really sweet, sometimes she would run off and act weird.

My wife took it on herself to give this cat what she called "Nice Kitty Time." This meant that every night, she'd grab the cat (nicely, of course :-), hold her down, and just methodically pet her, slowly, all over while holding her down with the other hand and telling her what a nice kitty she was in a soft, low voice.

Eventually the cat got to the point that she looks forward to "Nice Kitty Time" and curls up with us, rubs on our ankles, and is completely socialized to us and to the other cats. Even when she isn't snuggling with us, she just likes to be in the same room with us. And she's grown into a friendly, talkative little cat of about two and a half.

She is afraid and don't really know what to do. Try to calm her when you hold her so she will relax. She may have been dramatized. When you feed her call to her, trying rubbing her before you pick her up. And walk up slowly careful not to startle her. I would put her in a small quite area for now. And just get acquainted with her one on one. She will calm down eventually.
Lots of love is the answer. Be patient.

Some cats don't understand that feet are part of a person. When you approach her, it may help to get down on the ground. Also, it may be several days before the kitten even begins to feel at home, so it may help to not approach her at all for a couple of days, but be responsive to her when she approaches you.
Best of luck!

Approach her slowly and always use a soft voice to talk to her. Talk to her when you pet her and feed her. Just be gentle so she will trust you more with time. Everything will be fine. She just has to learn that you aren't going to hurt her.
