Theres many Anti-Immigrant people here that say Mexicans have too many children?

which to some point it may be true because of a certain reasons.

1. Mexicans are known to be a lot more family oriented and have stronger family values than the average American.

2. Mexicans are known to be more religious and therefore know that oral contraceptives do not prevent conception but prevent implatation of the already fertilized ovum. Therefore scientifically, and morally speaking, its a form of abortion.

Is this why Mexican have bigger families and are better sons and daughters of God since they are not murdering their own children?

And yes, Im against abortion and some ignorant people here have the idea that "it is a choice to be pregnant or not, it should not fall in the hands of gov. deciding what I do with my own body". To make it simple to people with that mentality I say this;

Doesnt elected officials in gov. vow to protect you (or your unborn child) from annybody trying to kill you?

katsluver, if you and your sisters and mother where to be starving to death because of whatever reason that may be including gov. fault or not, your parents have a moral obligation to do whatever it takes for you to survive. Ofcourse thats IF youre pro-life. And oh, that mentality of yours that men hit their girlfriend and wives is just old. Mexican men do treat their women with respect.

You are comparing drug dealers etc. (by thwe way they rather stay in Mexico and run their business from there) with normal non criminal society. Doesnt make sense.

People that say Mexicans have too many children need to mind their own business. It is nobodys business how many children you have as long as you do not abuse, or neglect them....then it becomes the law's business.

There is a difference between Anti Illegal Immigrants, and Anti Immigrants. Just because you are against undocumented workers, does not mean you are racist. Our families all came here as immigrants at one point in time or another. Well excluding the Indians of course.

I personally don't care how many children Mexicans have,they are more than welcome to have as many as they desire.But if they come to this country illegally they become the USAs problem. Have all you want just don't come here illegally.don't even try that morality lie on me .Moral people don't sneak into another country illegally.Moral people don't break laws.You don't have any more family values than any other race of people,and you aren't more religious.You are just people with all the good and all the bad of every other race.I can site you 10 to 15 cases from CPS where Mexican men have killed their own or their girl friends children so another untruth.And Mexican men beat their women and wives.

If they don't hit their women any more then why is Phoenix Domestic Court so full of Mexicans being charged with domestic violence?It still prevalent in Mexican society.

I think your topic is worthy of disscussion but I think you need to rethink your position and your points. Yes we could have a brisk debate but your not ready yet.

If mexico is the source of family values, why are they in a hurry to come here? Shouldn't it be like utopia down there? How can they run all those drugs and kidnap all those young girls off the street in broad daylight with all those family values? How can they have such a corrupt police force with all those values? How can they have so many problems with all those family values? I would put out for debate that they come here starving for family values rather than because they have any values. If they did have values, they would not be in such a hurry to become illegal.

A person with real values would set out to do it right the first time even if it was hard. Thats what people with values do.

while i understand their opinion on oral contraceptive, this is not true of the condom, it in fact does prevent conception. i too am pro-life. that said many people all over the world have many children, for many different reasons.
I also disagree with Angels Raising Hell, every culture, every country has violence in it somewhere. turn on any Colorado news channel and you will be appalled, i had to stop watching after a while, every news story was about a murder, rape, drive-by or some other horrible violent crime, there was never any good news.

Mexican families tend to be large, but so were immigrant families from Italy and Ireland...it was more to do with thier religion than their family values. As long as families can support the large number of children, there shouldn't be any issue with having them. This country was founded mainly because of the dream of religous freedom, Catholics deserve the same freedom of religious belief as any other religion.

Where does the bias for stronger family values for Mexicans come from?

An American family that has two children can spend plenty of time with each child, to give them the attention they deserve. A
smaller family means the family will have a larger amount of money to spend on the children's clothing, food, housing, and savings for education.

A Mexican family with ten children has parents that can barely remember all of the children's name, let alone spend time with each one. They can't afford decent housing or proper food, and if they can, it's only with assistance from the government.

Having a large family has nothing to do with 'family values' and it has nothing to do with a religious disposition against birth control.

It has everything to do with lack of self discipline. Let me say that again for you folks that didn't hear it. It is lack of self discipline. And one more time for the thick-headed liberals. It is lack of self discipline, not some mythical stereotype that Mexican have stronger family values.

If Mexicans worked as hard as all of the pro-illegals claim they do, if they had smaller families, they wouldn't have to rely on the government at all...

You and I know of the criminals that populate the government of Mexico that by design and by force keep the populace poor, hungry, in substandard housing and without hope unless they flee to Amerca. We know that government assisted border penetration into America and out of Mexico is done primarily to support the Mexican government and to thin the ranks of the poor in Mexico to lessen chances of a revolution. You and I despise the wholesale abuse of Mexican citizens by the government, by the activists - legal and illegal, on both sides of the border - and by the overwhelming majority of U.S. politicians. Once here the poor Mexican is brought into a slave labor market by greedy business owners and the large corporations, etc. and also used as a shield by the Mexican activists against the huge mounting outcry of American citizens, including Mexican-Americans, against the racism born and bred in Mexico and transplanted to the U.S. Once here, the American citizen bares the burden of most of the support of the illegal invaders who, in a display of their appreciation, march angrily in the streets of America carrying the Mexican flag and demanding their "rights." There are no rights extended to invaders. There will be no amnesty, there will be a guest worker's program and the Mexican-American politicians who have wet dreams seeing themselves as President of the U.S and all of the other elected offices, are losing the battle and failing in a tailspin of increasing anger, tempers and outright hatred of America. You and I are saddened to know of the misplaced anger of these politicians who must lie and spin every issue to try to save face. You, I and the politicos know the corrupt 5% of Mexico own about 95% of the great wealth of that country. And, the activists who inflame the poor and lie to them, need the corruption of Mexico brought here to make them one of the 5% stealing the wealth, this time, of America.

Alberto, if Mexican men uniformly treat their wives with respect, why is there a whole section in that 'how to cross the border' pamphlet the Mexican government passes out that tells people to be careful not to commit domestic violence in the US, because they can get arrested?

I think we have as good family values and that religion varies in both countries.

mexican or not not everyone thinks that way so i hope this is realized and the above statemetns may not all be proved...im mexican and personally i think that regardless of what anyone says taking oral contraceptives is a personal choice......im against abortion too and dont plan on having a big family or a baby anytime soon....i know of many families...relatives who only have 1 or 2 kids...no more than "american" families so i dont know i guess thats a personal choice too.
