ok, sorry to sound stereotypical, but a lot of people I know that are white always say how some kinds of Mexican foods "tear them up inside" and stuff. How come I never experience any of this, nor many of my friends and family? (i'm Mexican)

If you think they cant handle Mexican food, you should see the white Brit eat Curry (National dish of England). The stupid thing is they order the hottest curry as a passage of right and then try and drown it with 10 pints of lager as their nose and eyes are on fire. they are violently hiccupping and act like an abused circus bear while shouting insults at the waiter calling him Abdul and Gungaddin. The nest day they regret it, but then again come Friday night lets go for a curry, but by this time the waiter they abused is wise, and puts extra DNA in their Vindaloo.

Honestly, I wish I knew. I have a relative that can handle mexican food, But I cannot handle it one bit. Its too spicy for me. I guess if I grew up on the food I could handle it. Maybe that's the difference in why White people can't handle mexican food, is cause we weren't brought up on it.

a mexican's bod is used to it... my daughter's hubby was mexican and apache and he could handle hot foods,as can my daughter. We white ppl can't handle hot,hot foods as it isn't in our normal dietary repetoire. I looooove mexican foods and it isn't everyday i get them. SO, I looove taco bell! The Capsacin in peppers actually tears up the lining of the tummy,if not used to it. But on the other hand,if used to it, it doesn't harm them. (Ever see a Mexican with an ulcer, that ISN"T brought on by drinking? i didn't think so! lol) have q great day and I hope I answered your question.

I'm white and I never had a problem with Mexican food at all when I was younger, but since I had my gall bladder out I have had some problems. However, it usually is from overeating the fantastic goodies.

Hahhaa, thats hilarious! And really true! I'm white, but I live in San Diego so I've grown up on Mexican food.

My boyfriend who is from South Dakota eats a damn burrito from Taco Bell and is "torn up inside" for days, haha. It's just the spices and heat that people aren't used to.

Thier system is not used to eating chili and "us" as Mexicans and Mexican Americans cook with a lot of spices and also with lard instead of oil. I think Mexican food can be very "heavy" on one's stomach.

Maybe you are talking to the wrong white people. I LOVE Mexican food and eat it almost every other day. It does not tear me up. I cook it for my family, and my children and husband love it too. (I'm Texan)

I'm white and can easily handle mexican or any spicy food. The hotter and spicier, the better. I eat like that daily. Doesn't bother me.

hmmm...I'm as white as they come and I tear up Mexican food, it doesn't tear me up. But seriously folks, I think it has to do with what you're used to. If you've eaten Mexican food for a good part of your life, you're good with it. If you were raised on...um I don't know like kraft macaroni and cheese and hot dogs (what's typical white people food??), spicey just ain't nice. ;)
