Many of the Christian Archetypes for the devil come from the Pagan mythology which Wicca worships. Baphomet, a God of unknown origin that was demonized by the Catholic church. http://demons.monstrous.com/pictures/baphomet_1.jpg, Pan a Greek horned sex god, Lucifer the Roman Morningstar God. Satan is referred to as Lucifer and the Morning Star.

The other Christian train of thought is the mentalilty that if you are not with us you are against us. They believe all other Gods besides theirs are actually Satan. They believe that Satan has deceived us all.

Lastly, The Bible warns against Witches. But it was referring to people who spat curses at each other. Because today's christians are known to generalize and take things out of context and with all the new translations. Witches in general have been persecuted for a long time.

Many Catholic leaders believed that followers of the Old Religioni presented a threat to the Unity of the Nation. The Malleus Mallifarcum (Witch Hammer) is an infamous book written as a guide book to Midieval Inquisitors. Its reprocussions are still felt today. http://www.malleusmaleficarum.org/

Because of the recent resurgance of Wicca and little mainstream information. Many Christians fear the worst. There has been several fear campaigns to incite this. We call this the Satanic Panic.

I myself as a Wiccan, don't believe in Black and White magick. This is because magick is a force without intention. The intention is given by the caster, Any spell can be used against someone if the intention is good or harmful. I try to clear my mind of any negative thoughts before magick is performed. .

Wicca is not a religion that worships the devil. This is an important point. It does not mean that they do not believe in the devil, most religions in the world do, Wicca just believes that spirits are not good or evil and that those things come into being by how the energies are used. In other words the good or evil of the spirit is determined by the person practicing the art and requiring it to be one way or the other. Wicca requires no harm to anyone.

Anything... any practice that is not of God is of the devil.

Look at the world around you, or at a battery.

Everything has an equal or an opposite.

Positive and negative, black and white, left and right, north and south... etc....

So there is only 1 God. One source of positivity in this world.

And everything else, is worship of the devil.

Whether the person worshipping knows it or not.

If your not praying to God, your praying to something other than God.

And the only thing left is the devil and his minions.

And if your praying to something else, something else will respond and it isn't going to be good, kind, or helpful. And its not Buddha, or Mary or Raphael or whoever you think your praying to...

So it is either devil worship or demonic worship.

Trust me, friend, don't try it.

Your going to open bad spiritual doorways. And if you didn't know about the earthly reprocussions of Wicca, then you SHOULD NOT be messing with it.

Because you WILL NOT be able to fix the outcome of your actions.

If you practice Wicca and continue to practice, things will get weird, scarey, and then waaaay to scarey, it will not even seem like reality.

Stop while you can.

Well, I don't know much about wicca to say that ya'll are a bunch of Satan worshippers or followers. I won't say something based on an opinion and not fact regarding this. But, I do know that you don't worship God or believe in Jesus Christ as the Saviour.
I do know that God called witch craft an abomination. Whether white or black magic, magic is magic is magic.

Leviticus 19: 26 ¶ Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: (Gen. 9.4 · Lev. 7.26, 27 ; 17.10-14 · Deut. 12.16, 23 ; 15.23) neither shall ye use enchantment, (Deut. 18.10 )nor observe times.

Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, (Lev. 19.26 )or a witch, (Ex. 22.18) 11 or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, (Lev. 19.31) or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

I do want to add one more thing to this. I am the grand daughter of a witch. My grandmother is deep into the practices of the Eastern Occult. She is deep into astrology, charts, spells, trances, etc.etc. I love her. She is my grandma. But, I do not agree with nor condone what she does. I can tell you freaky freaky things happen when you get deep into these things. I experienced several when I was young and my parents would no longer let me stay the night with her.

i think that you need to do some personal research on the religion wicca. do not take what another person in this tells you at face value look into this on your own and you will see that it has many similarities to satanic worship. infact i just saw a blog from a satanist that mentioned the similarities. the Bible says in Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. We are also warned about this type of worship in the New Testament Romans 1:24-25 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.Amen.

yes wiccan is a religion and most don't realize what is behind it.
(satan). But the good news is that Jesus has overcome satan.

I'm fine with you believing whatever you want - these things only start to bother me if you start advocating killing people, or stopping vaccines or whatever.

As for what I think of magic... I don't happen to believe that it actually does anything, so I guess that it does not really cause me concern.

The reason others think it is devilish is simple logic:
1) They think that they are on the one, true path to heaven and stuff.

2) Therefore all other paths are of the devil.

3) You are different, therefore you are the devil.

Simple.

because it is pagan, and the Bible is very anti pagan. It even tells them to "Not suffer a witch to live"

also christians don't know much about wicca and choose to remain ignorant of it because they are constantly told it is devil worship- a way to control their faith

peaceful and tolerant religion my @ss

Serious misconception about some passages written in the Bible which were translated in such a way as to give political advantages to the King of England as soul expression of both the state and the church and/or spirit.

My opinion based on study, personal testmony from those who've come from wiccan background, research and scripture is that magic, whether white or black is wrong in the eyes of God. Of course if you practice white magic your not likley to believe in the God of the Bible. But magic is the manipulation of the natural course of things. Power comes from two sources. God and the devil. God works through the holy spirit, hence miracles are the fruit. The devil works through deception and hence magic is the result. Not saying you knowingly practice your "arts" to serve the devil but I'd do alot more studying to find where your power comes from.
