There is a girl that I really like and Ihave prayed a lot to God to ask if he could help me in any way shape or form. I know this sounds very selfish and childish but I'm desperate. I have even gone so far as too go without cursing and doing any other of my usual sins for 40 days to show God how much I want this. Do you think he will come through?

I think it's a shame that you can't devote the same time and energy to figuring out what kind of person she is looking for, and evaluate yourself and your chances with some degree of maturity.

Trust in God that he has the right person for you. That is how my husband and I met through prayer and God used a mutual friend.
Choose only a date that would make a good mate get married THEN live together too many people are doing this in reverse.
You don't have to try to bribe God by being good if it is in God's will that you get this girl it will happen.
Bear in mind that the main reason for christian divorces is because people do NOT marry in the will or timing of God.
If God does NOT answer your prayer it is because he has someone better in mind for you.
Are you willing to be committed to this girl through the long hauls of trials?
You don't have to desperate be selective my relative is getting married for the first time at 45 years of age. Good things come to those who wait.

If God wants you to go out with this girl and that is in His plans for you, He will make it happen. But don't use Him, by just coming to Him right now and living rightly because you need this from Him. If that's your only reason and motivation, that's not right. God wants you to follow his Word by trying your best not to sin ALL the time, not just to get what you want. It doesn't work like that. Get your life in line with Him and get your priorities straight, and I know you'll figure it out.

God does what is best for us. But if you really want the girl, you need to do more than just pray. God can give you the courage to go up to her, but usually, you have to do something to get her attention as well. Find common interests, and start talking to her. Good luck!

well if this is someone you would like to spend your life with , you need to make sure the too of you are equally yoke. if your just out for a B/C dint play be careful of what you ask for.
