someone who puts the needs of the kids ahead of their needs. One that the day their children are born, they realize that there is no other love more pure than the one they now feel for the life they just created. They want the best for their kids and they wish to give them everything they never had or were able to get. One who is not afraid to discipline and teach wanting their children to become productive members of society and one day when these parents die, they know they left behind a legacy. The best gift God allowed us to have. Our children.

Someone that disciplines and tries to raise a productive member of society not a burden. Teaches and Preaches. Don't stop preaching! Unfortunately children now a days have the upper hand. You can only do so much. Just make sure it is always the best at what you do and then leave the rest to them. As long as the parent puts %100 into parenting then you can't blame your self for their decisions.

I think being there, listening to your child, supporting them both emotionally and financially. Teaching their kids to be a good person. teaching their kids right from wrong. Letting their children make their own mistakes and learn from them without being judgemental. That's all the things that I feel make me a good parent

A good parent is one that raises their child/children with morals and values. I have raised my kids learning to always be respectful, always be on time, and to always be true to themselves. There is a lot of parents out there today that really don't know what is going on with their kids. Staying involved shows them that you care and keeps them out of trouble.

Someone who guides you on the right path, someone who puts you straight when you stray from the path, “with out being judgemental”
Someone who has brought you up to know what’s wrong and what’s right!, so you have principles and morals ,and respect for others not just ppl you know strangers as well!
Someone who has taught you that an animal has the same rights to be treated with respect as we human beings!

ditto to love and respect...also, always making decisions which are in the child's best interest...........not necessarily making it easier for Mom and Dad......consistency is extremely important.
But never forget that there is no perfect parent but fortunately, love covers a multitude of sins.
