TOTALLY with tube dude on this one!!!! He is absolutely right. Joseph was not Jesus' biological father, and he was married to Jesus' mother. Last time I checked, that would make Joseph Jesus' step father.

I am a step dad, and my wife is a step mom, we raised one and others children since they were small. I love my daughter (I never call her step daughter) just like she is my own and my wife feels the same about my son and daughter. Joseph was Jesus step father it may not say that exactly like that in the Bible, but it does state it.

I had a step dad.. he came into my life just before I turned 6 years old. He 'stepped' up, and took the responsibility of my father, who had died. This man supported me, sat up with me when I was frightened, cleaned me up after I threw up (grape soda and popcorn), went through my entire life with me..
My sons are both step dad's.. stepping up to take the responsibility of the fathers who frankly, didn't give a damn about the kids they helped bring into this world..
I don't know where the name originated.. but my dad.. has my heart, after all these years. he is my best friend.. someday, I'll see him again. He passed just before Christmas one year..

Jesus always paid his (step) father, Joseph, high honor..

What in the world does one have to do with the other?

In your country of origin there must be a t least one person with children who remarried after a spouse died or abandonned them. Of course I am NOT American so I can clearly see the flaw in your arguement.

Joseph Carpenter was the "step father" to Jesus. A step-father is the person married to your mother who is not your biological father.
