You know...that is an odd question...BUT....I did stop for a second and paid attention to my breathing...and to answer...my stomach expands when I inhale...

obverse closely when you breathe (and other people): everyone's stomaches/chests expand when you inhale. guess where the air went? into your body!! that's why it gets bigger. ^^
