French manicures have been so over-done, and they really don't look all that great. I'd go with a darker color (maybe something to match your flowers), especially with all the dark colors that are so in right now. The darker polish will show off the ring better, too!
If you have time, try a couple of different ideas now (maybe something different every week) and see what you like best.

French manicures are much classier to wear with a wedding dress. Just think, all eyes will be on your hands (photos are taken of your hands with the ring on, etc..) and you don't want bright pink or bright red nails. Perhaps in the 80s, when that style was cool, but today it's about subtle, classy beauty! Go with French (on your toes, too, they look great!).

A French manicure is so overdone for weddings, can you get anymore boring than that? I wore Bogota Blackberry polish by OPI for my wedding, matched my bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

Just a regular nail "grooming," so to speak. I don't usually have my nails done so I want to keep myself looking how I usually am. My nails aren't that great looking, but just a nice filing and maybe some clear or light colored polish will do for me. I am a pretty simple person though and I don't fuss a lot with stuff like that.
