My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Hi Helena. Yes, this will work, but don't get too ambitious. #00 crunches a day is a lot. You need to work up to that level of intensity. I am worried about your hurting yourself or burning out because you have set the bar too high. Pace yourself. Try going to Curves. Just have fun with it. Remember, if you drive yourself to do this by Christmas, then you may start to eat again out of exhaustion. Weight loss and fitness are for a lifetime. They are a state of mind. A way of life. So don't set unrealistic goals on a fast track timeline. Be a long distance runner and stay in the race for life. :)

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. According to scientists, you can only lose a max of one pound of actual fat per week. 4 weeks in a month times 2 equals eight pounds; no where near 25-30 pounds. By doing all of that weightlifting, you will actually gain weight as your fat turns to muscle, but you will look a lot better. Keep in mind that you can lose more than one pound a week, but it will probably be water weight, which will just come back.

Just make sure the quality is as great or greater for your crunches. you should also give your body a 24 hour rest period if lifting weights, you can alternate upper and lower body so you can lift everyday, you can do crunches everyday make sure you are well hydrated.

You may be able to lose all that weight in that amount of time, but you will probably put it all back on in that same amount of time. Better to lose slowly then it won't come back as fast if at all. I say bad plan.
