There is this guy, Matt, who my friends says likes me (he told my friend that he thinks he likes me on AIM) I kind of like him. How do I ask him (over email) if he likes me?

Guys like girls with confidence...Not TOO much confidence. But they certainly don't want e-mails asking if they like you. What you need to do is "bite the bullet" and ask him face-to-face. Although you may be too nervous or shy to do that, always remember "Guys like confidence." When you get those nervous butterflies in your stomach before you talk to him, wait until they go away and then just ask him. You'll be surprised at how good you feel despite the outcome.

Do you IM him? You will know if he likes you by what he says. Let nature take its course and don't force him to tell you what he is not ready to yet. It could backfire and you could push him out of your life. Enjoy the buildup to the big reveal. It's so worth it.

you ask him who he likes youy should become anonymous so he will just open up(maybe use your friends aim) if he says he likes you ask him out (in person) @ school the next day. hey maybe you'll end up together.

you could do that.
or just ask him on aim your self.
you could even get his number and call him and sort of bring it up.
it doesnt matter how you ask him as long as you do.
but i think he would like it better if you asked him in person or at least on the phone.
