You just need to tell him straight up.

"Listen, I went to the doctor today because things weren't feeling right. I got tested again, and I have HPV. Thing is, my tests came back negative before we slept together. Did you know that guys can have it without knowing because they usually don't have any symptoms? Did you really get tested? Could you get me a copy of the test results? I'll get you a copy of both of mine."

This way, you'll be able to get the date that the test was done as well. You'll be able to tell if the papers are fake.

There is no real way to do that and know for sure if he is telling the truth or not. Ask him where he got tested at and that you want to go with him when he gets his second opinion test.

In this age of promiscuity, the simple teachings of 'no sex before marriage' and monogamy, don't seem quite so dumb after contracting an STD, do they?

Study up on the virus and get regular pap smears. Do not feel like an outcast, you are one of literally millions infected with this virus...at least you are aware you have it and can be proactive when dealing with it.

Well, I was told by my doctor that it takes a while for HPV to show up. So maybe it was from a former partner. And HPV is not really an STD. It's a sexually transmitted virus. I like the way that sounds better. And if you read into it, you'll find that it's very common in women.

not sure what HPV is. Is it Herpes? Well.........just come out and tell him. And if it is herpes you might not of caught it from him because you might of caught is ten years ago and for some reason your immune system was down and you got the symptoms. Although most likely you did catch it from him. Get him to the doctor even if you have to drag him there.

It is said that one out of four people have herpes and have no idea that they carry it, and they never had an outbreak. Thus, there are way more people out there that have herpes than ever imagined.

There is medication to take regularly to keep it in check.

The man needs to be responsible for what he might be spreading around.

You know you sleep with all his past partners when you sleep with him, right? It is likely he believed his doctor and didn't have a clue. If you are close enough to have sex, you are close enough to have the big talk with him. He needs to get treated too. Be honest, let him know you don't blame him, but you need to practice safe (read: condom) sex, and that you will go to the doctor with him if he wants you too. If he gives you any indication he knew, it is time to be through with him. My best guess is he had no clue and you are angry (rightfully) because you didn't have all the information. Talk to your partner.

talk to your doctor. There are other ways of contracting HPV, and before you start a fight, you should know what those are and assess if any of them apply to you. If NOT, show him the test results and talk to him about it.

and from here on out - USE A CONDOM EVERY TIME. Because if you didn't get it from him, you can now GIVE it to him.

who cares whether this guy thinks you are accusing him of something. confront him and demand that you see the papers that he has a clean bill of health. how can you continue a relationship with a guy that knowingly gives you an std or didn't respect you enough to get tested. dump him before he gives you HIV.
