Because this democratic society has no respect for autonomy. They expect you to be one of the masses. If you are not prepared to be, they will make sure they can stick the mental label on you. And then you will have them telling you to take your medication. Resistance is futile, think of emigrating.

" Within self-determination theory in psychology, autonomy refers to 'autonomy support versus control', "hypothesizing that autonomy-supportive social contexts tend to facilitate self-determined motivation, healthy development, and optimal functioning."

Lots of people feel inferior, we live in democracies in the sense of one man one vote, but also most countries promote the illusion they are meritocracies, the harder you work & th more gifted you are the greater the rewards. Don't take your values from everyday culture, where the average person is bombarded by images of desirables lifestyles in order to sell you something, self-worth comes from within, set goals and see if you can achieve them, interact in a positive way with other people where you can, by doing this you might begin to feel better about yourself. You question begs the question "inferior to who?"

Inferior to what exactly. If you look at the thing you feel inferior to, you will know why you feel inferior. Which country do you suppose to be democratic?

It is not a "So called" democratic society. Go live in another country for awhile like I did, and you will soon understand the difference.

In a democratic society, you have the right to feel whatever you want. It is probably because you dont have many material posessions. Dont worry about them.

democracy does not account for people's feelings.... it's about trying to make the average point of view the most valid....it must be lovely to not feel inferior but being average must have it's drawbacks..

Because the democracy in this country is only an illusion. It's big industry and special interest groups that run this country, not the people.

greetings:

perhaps useful to think fo "feeling inferior" as a state of mind. usually states of midn have somehtign to do with our self-image, an image of ourselves we downloaded based on our family member's views of us. also based on our downloads of our same sexed parent's views of her or him self.

whether accurate or innaccurate--we unfortunately think, feel and act in accord with our self-image

you need to map your self-image and see if these feelings are sourced from there

thats a good place to start..

best to you...dr jm

It's because we are spoiled rotten with to much choice, and take our freedom for granted. Try showing some gratitude for those who fight and protect our freedom
