I talked to a beautician when i was getting my eyebrows plucked, and your hair doesnt grow back thicker, when you are shaving you cut the hair above the base were it is thicker and that part grows up, and the whole things repeats, that is why some people wax because the base is not cut, it is taken out. FYI. It is a pain in the you know what but i would say if you have developed and you have hair, start because at that age all of your freinds are so it may become a self esttem issue if you have hair and they dont. But dont start if you have jsut peach fuzz, wait a little bit, or maybe just wait till next spring when you have to wear shorts again beause the cool weather is coming and you wont have to worry about shaving anyways

What you said is VERY true- once you start, it grows back thicker and more bristle (like it's rough and stubbly) so you have to shave again. It's a never ending cycle. I reccomend waxing. It may sound painful, but its worth it. After a while of waxing, your hair gets less and less, too, so it's way better in the long run. Ask your mom about waxing.
Also, it depends where you are shaving. Your armpits it okay, but your legs are better to wax. Your bikini line should be waxed too, not shaved. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To convince your mom, you can first ask her why she doesnt want you shave, then see what you can do to convince her to change he rmind

Sooner or later most girls end up shaving. I started when i was 12 and i regreted doing it two early now but back then you couldnt change my mind soo do what you got to do. Tell your mother you are becoming a woman and this is a part of it, i dont know it might work. i didnt even ask my mother before i started.

Your hair will not grow thicker at all. It may feel like it for the first few days when hair grows out.

dont do it until you have to. i wish i had waited longer than i did. dont shave until your hair is growing longer or darker, when that happens it is unlikely that your mom will refuse it. dont do it until it is necessary.
