I've noticed that most of the members that answer questions about immigration really hate Mexicans. What is up with that? I cant understand the hatred. You cannot judge all Mexicans by a handful you probably know. A lot of you talk about illegals taking jobs americans could have.

Seriously, what is the REAL reason you hate us? I don't get it. If all the Mexicans left the USA, would you all automatically have better jobs? Would you automatically have your own business where you can hire your American friends to work for you? Would you have better paying jobs? I would really like to know what would happen.

Posting angry answers will only get you reported. Lets act like adults and post SMART answers.

What's to hate? Most came here to work the jobs the rest of us would not do. When their kids grew up and became part of our community they had a better life than the parents did. My mother was an immigrant and she had a hard way to go when she first came here, but she loves it here and would not live anywhere else. People that need an easy target to dump the nation's problems on ALWAYS pick a group that is the of our troubles. There has many other groups that have been in the same category as the"MEXICANS" in our history before. All the way back to when our country was founded there have been those that have position and those that wanted it.It's just the way it is. Just take a look around you, if everyone went "back" to where they came from, there would only be Indians around! We should just let anyone in that wants a better life and is willing to work for it. It can only be better for the rest of us if they do!

Most of the members here range from either being ignorant, xenophobic, or in some extreme cases just downright racist. If you ask me, they think that if the Mexicans left the USA, they'd have all of the jobs that they claim the mexicans took from them. They'd probably say yes to the other questions too, but in reality, I know that not one damn thing would change if all the Mexicans left the USA. Some of the people who blame the Mexicans for the employment situation probably voted for the nincompoop running this country and ever since he took the inaugural oath, the employment outlook(I don't care how rosy the government makes it out to be, it's not true) is dismal. Plus, the reason why the employment outlook is so dismal is due to the shoddy state the economy's in. Most of the population is lucky enough if they even have any kind of insurance at all, and once again, these morons here blame it on the mexicans, when in fact it's because of the current economic situation. The people here who waste their time blaming the Mexicans on the sad state of the economy can't even handle the goddamn truth that the Mexicans have nothing to do with the shoddy way the country is for both the middle-class and the poor. It has to do with the way the President runs things.

Its just the illegals that are making people angry. They don't pay taxes but they still benefit from the government. Its the tax payer who has to pick up the tab. Yes, there would be better paying jobs. Allot of employers will not pay the illegals min. wage, Who are they gonna tell? If they was gone it would force a employer to pay min. wage to somebody who is going to pay taxes back to the government. They drive without insurance, when they wreck nobody pays, that makes rates go up for everybody else. As far as what would happen if the illegals were gone? I don't know. But I do know this country did fine before they showed up in droves and if they was to disappear tomorrow we would keep genning along just fine. I don't think the illegals are the backbone of the country yet. One more thing, I don't hate Mexicans.

It's not hatred...it's RESENTMENT. It's working hard, following the rules, paying your share, pulling your own weight...only to have someone come along (who ISN'T following the rules) and say "I want this, I am going to take that, if you like it or not....and YOU are going to pay for me to do it!" (eg. health care/ hospitals, schools, social program, etc...) These all cost money!!! Money that the average tax-payer doesn't and SHOULDN'T have to pay. (I don't remember voting on that) Another thing that creates RESENTMENT is someone who isn't interested in becoming American...they want be a Mexican IN America. I hope this helps you understand all the 'frustration'.

I personally like Mexicans and Latinos.
They are pretty standoffish when it comes to being friendly .
The language barrier may have something to do with it .
I find them to be HARD WORKERS . they have an unbelievable work ethic .
This may be a reason to not like them . Some American workers are down right lazy .They have the executive management mentality .They can`t handle being told what to do.
They expect good wages for little effort , the opposite applies to Latino`s .I think they are being screwed by Walmart and Farmers .If they Unionized they definitely would have it better.

The other day I was out on patrol and noticed a house with a 6X10 mexican flag proudly displayed by the front door hung from the roof of the residence, anyway, this really irked me because this house belongs to people who are receiving assistance from the government (USDA) which helped them with their down payment, and said govt. program also helps them with their monthly payment, I mean, okay, be proud of who you are, and be proud of the people who left their country to give their offspring and grandchildren (like myself) a better life, but don't insult the country where you are living and receive aid from with such displays......Most people think that all mexicans are waving their flags, and mexicans like you and me that love our country because she taxes 25% of my already low paying police salary, but hey, it's cool, cause the money goes back into people in this country who need it, but why should it be going to people who didn't even wait in line to get here, that's why we're stereotyped and hated.......

For me, it is not about nationality - it is about legality. If you are in this country illegally, get out. I don't care where you are from, how wealthy you are, what color your skin is, or what sex you are. If you can't respect this nation enough to follow the laws to get in, then how can you respect the rest of the laws that are in place? Obviously they don't - for they get jobs illegally, don't pay taxes, send their children to our schools free and clear, and don't bother to change their thoughts. That is, until they are victims of crime, or someone finds out they are illegal and reports them. Then it's all about - I'm poor. I can't afford to do it legally.

Blah blah blah.

Yeah, there are those on here that hate Mexicans. They are bigots. But there are some that are against illegal immigration, and they direct their anger at Mexicans because they are the biggest offenders. So get off your soapbox and try to find out how to make EVERYONE follow the laws.

It's easier to spell Mexican than Guatemalen or Salvadorian or Venezuelan. They are also the biggest target since they are just south of us and of course since they are the closest they make for the highest percentage of illegals overall. It's much easier to just go after the largest nationallity than name them all.

Trust me I am not anti Mexican, my parents would disown me if I were.
