It is NOT okay to refill water bottles. They are made of cheap, unstable plastics, that break down with time and reuse. This means that if you refrigerate or freeze them, they put plastics into the water itself, and that they become pitted over time and lodge impurities in the bottle.
They were intended as one-use items, and unfortunately, that's all they're good for.

I wouldn't store water in them and wouldn't use them more than a few times. They've found the chemicals from the plastic will begin to break down and will leech into the water especially after repeated use. Also, don't drink the water if it's been sitting in a plastic bottle in a hot car as the plastic breaks down faster from the heat.

Yes as long as the bottles did not sit open for any length of time. If they do they could have microscopic bacteria which when the water is added to it could make you sick. That is why even if all a baby has in its bottle is water, the bottle needs to be thoroughly cleaned to make sure of no bacterial contamination.

Yes, it's okay to fill water bottles. I would wash them in the dishwasher or by hand after 2 or 3 uses.

if ur talking about like reusing dasani or poland spring water bottles, u should throw them out after 2 uses. i dont know the real reason but i have herd this a couple of times. its not very sanitary, bc the bottles are porous and if they have the ridges in them they collect old saliva and its leaves a place for bacteria to grow where washing doesnt reach.

Of course, I do it all the times, but usually only up to like 5-10 times, then I recycle the bottle.

It was on the news a while back where they said it was bad to reuse the water bottles. You are storing germs in them which can possibly make you sick. I re use a water bottle once at the most and then throw it out.

No, it's not ok b/c of several reasons...the plastic container starts breaking down and germs remain in the bottle since it is hard to wash the bottles sufficiently.
