well, if you buy the pictures and give them to your family and stuff your hair will be purple, but in the black-and-white yearbook the hair will be more normal. I've dyed my hair auburn before and figured out that if you start off having a certain color it will turn purple! it will be tough dying it back in the next 2 days because it is rough on you hair but if it's cheap (at home hair dye), and if it's what you want then go ahead. Afterwards you can give it a good hair masque( some leave-in thing) and it will help rebuild. But if you are going to dye it darker instead of lighter now it will be healthy for your hair! darkening it allows to give to the hair instead of stripping out. I guess you should stay away from auburn though. :)

I know how you feel I had a highlighting accident recently. I'll see if I can help!

Was it permanant or the kind you can rinse right out? Check the bow if you don't know. Permanent? Salon. Now. Pricey but hey do it best. Rinse? Get your butt in a shower! If it doesn't then I would try washing and if that doesn't get rid of the worst of it, then go to the salon as a Plan B. If it it's too costly than often different parts/ways of styling your hair can help surprisingly much. I hope this helps!

Most auburn dye has purple in the base.If it is semi or permanent it will probably fade. I don't know if you have time to do this. You can help it to fade by using Dawn dish detergent and then a good conditioner. You can redye it after this.If it fades, but is still purple, you will need to get a brown with orange in the base to cut the purple. Seriously think about going to a salon to have this fixed because I don't know if you have enough time to fix it your self. Good luck.

auburn usually turns to reddish purple-ish brown....your timing might have been off or if you dyed it from blonde. get to a salon or dye it again a browner color to get rid of the purple, a good brand that doesnt fry your hair much if at all is garnier nutrisse. good luck. blessed be.

Oh Nessy, best bet is to get your butt to a salon right away. They can fix it, costly, yes, but at least you'll have hair left for you photo shoot!

try washing several times with dish liquid then condition. If this doesn't work you'll have to re-colour it with a darker colour like brown or black.
