hey i think thats a great idea!
christians! give africa a rest and go preach the word of god in the middle east! im sure your god will protect you! i mean come on! so many of you have told me stories of answered prayers, protection and accidents where youve walked away without a scratch! surely god will protect you there!
i mean hes not going to allow the messengers of his word to come to any danger...right?.......riiiight?
anh man, theyre too scared, theyd rather butt heads with africans who are too hungry to get into a theological debate. those people just convert in hopes of getting food. christians prefer people who just lie down and accept what theyre told....kinda like them.
i cant wait for the peole to ask "well why dont YOU!!?!?!"
proboblaly because were atheists (i assume the question asker is an atheist)

Two weeks ago I could not have preached to the Arabs because it would have not been respectful to their own belief system and I would have understood God to honor their honest searching for truth.
Today I could not go to Arabia because I don't have a plane ticket and cannot get enough time off work. If I went however, I would be Love bound to preach the gospel of truth. This means I would be focused on freeing them from their own fear based religion.
Another probing and useful question that we just don't want to hear.

bobkgin - I can't do something just because you challenge me to do it. God has to put it on my heart - and for right now - He has put on my heart that you need to stop judging His children so harshly. In Luke 6:37 - Jesus states "Stop judging others, and you will not be judged. Stop criticizing others, or it will all come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven." If you knew God's promises - you wouldn't be condemning those whom God has forgiven. I suggest you put down your judgement mallet and open up and see what God has promised those who trust Him. All you have to do is read - and let God teach. Nobody likes when people lie - just ask God in your heart or with a whisper that you'd like to know the truth - and open up a Bible. You've got everything to gain and only time to lose. This may or may not have been exactly what you are looking for - but it is what I've given you from my heart. God has filled my heart with love - I just want the same for anyone and everyone i meet. I don't think you can argue too much with that. thats my choice. the fields to harvest are everywhere. Everyone - especially you - need to be aware that God absolutely loves you to death. Even death on a cross...

God has to call you to preach to the Arabs. If he doesn't and you go, it won't be pretty. So maybe start asking God if he wants you to be an evangelist to the Arabs.
And Africa's pretty dangerous. Haven't you heard of the Congos and their wars and rebellions. Stay in your own world or become a Christian and see if God has caleld you there. If you don't believe, how can you encourage others to go anywhere? Aren't you trying to DISCOURAGE the spread of Jesus Christ and Christianity?

Because I go where God tells me to go, not where men tell me to go.
I have been on several ministry trips and one evangelical mission into Mexico.
In about a year, everything will be in place for my trip into Africa, and possibly into Sudan. I have sponsored brothers and sisters into Columbia, China, Russia, Tibet, and Romania.
No cowardice. No fear of death. Just patient obedience to the God I serve. And if He sends me to Saudi Arabia, I will go!

I've been told there are many Christian missionaries in Islamic countries; it is not a well publicized fact since Christian missionary work is illegal in most of these countries.
---edit-----
My church had a missionary in Afghanistan who was kidnapped by the Taliban for trying to convert Muslims.

There are many. Want numbers? Check the IMB website.
Most all of them operate under assumed names, for safety reasons (what good is a dead missionary?).
They are there, & the Church is increasing over there, slowly but surely.

No money actually.
I am not scared of death.
Or being kidnapped.
Or being raped.
So I think that you left out one. It's not an excuse, and I don't know if I would go...lol I would be all alone. Nobody else is my religion.

i think evangelism would only cause further damage to the politics and feelings between the Middle East and West. They are already terrified that we are trying to hurt their religion.
