If you turned yourself into the police or the police believed the killing was accidental, you would be charged with manslaughter. Manslaughter is killing somebody but not planning beforehand to do it, so it's an accidental killing or a spontaneous killing. But there are different degrees of manslaughter depending on the circumstances and the sentences for conviction of manslaughter depend on what degree you're convicted of.
However, if there is no-one to testify that it was an accident, you would have a hard time proving it. You would probably end up being charged with murder.

The person would be dead. The shooter would be investigated and if no foul play was found he continues with his life. Stuff happens.
Oh yeah, and the anti-hunting tards would all try to use it to stop hunting. Anti-gun tards would claim we need to utlaw guns for hunters etc.

I'm sure that the local Police Dept will do a full investigation and I mean full investigation to seek rather this incident was committed intentionally or by accident. Why? You're thinking about hurting an individual, which you might think it'll be dropped by accidental death? I watch SUV and CSI on tv - Cops aren't stupid and you shouldn't underestimate them. Besides, why would you even think about harming an individual in the first place? C'mon, get a real life would you?

It depends on who you are. If you're our VP - Dick Cheney - then nothning will happen. They'll just tell you "Better luck next time Mr. Vice President... That old guy had no business standing in front of your bullet."

Well when this happens to me, I load the body into my truck, drive to a secluded location that only I know about, dig a hole roughly twice as large as it needs to be, and dispose of the body there. You have to be sure to use plenty of lime, or it will smell. Then make sure to tamp down the area so that the soil is tight. That is the only way to ensure that the body, when it decays, will not leave a sunken hole.
Best of luck finding a good location.

Depends on what sort of mood the prosecutor is in and whether or not he is one of those overzealous boneheaded glory hounds.
