why do you get a copper taste in mouth???

It could be blood in your mouth caused by a cut or a tooth bleeding.

There could be a few reasons for this. If you recently started on a new medication it may be a side affect (which is common in a few meds) so I suggest if that's the case, check the symptoms list. Otherwise, it may be an infection. I have heard that if you taste something like blood, if could be caused my an infection. Tooth infections are not to be taken lightly because if left untreated it may run into your blood system. I suggest you talk to a dentist and see if they find an urgent need for you to come in.

A metallic taste in the mouth is a common complaint and can be due to a variety of causes - from medication you may be taking to dental problems.
