Why is it only Americans? Why not the British? or the French? Hell, America didnt even exsist when the stories of the bible were made up and put down on paper. Why is it we americans feel we are the only ones who have a "right" to be chosen by God?

I don't know if saying we are CHOSEN is the right thing. That's
why the World hated on the Jewish peoples for so long.
But I do feel our Creator has brought ALL the peoples of
the World here for a REASON. The question is. Will we fulfill
that purpose.
By showing that we can get past old hates and
prejudices, and show a spirit of cooperation that will be an
example for others.
For in TRUTH. No matter who you are. Black, white, red, yellow,
or brown. You have a spirit within. A beautiful being of LIGHT
and LOVE. And we are ALL GODs children.

The idea that we "feel chosen by God" is really, really old. Like, 18th century old. Manifest Destiny came shooting around as well sometime or another. But America is so diverse that we feel chosen by the ideas of LIBERTY, not by a god. And if Bush tells you otherwise, which he already has, then he's a flaming idiot.
Americans should not feel that they are chosen by god. A person in California is no different from a person in India. Anyone who believes otherwise needs serious help.

Yes, you are partial accurate. America has a foundation of Christians. Our forefathers, based this magnificent Country on God. We have become very irresponsible, and He is not happy with what we have went against. But His love continues and it is up to us Christians to keep marching on to defeat the evil. So we have to put on our Shields and Armor and stand strong. We need to win. And your questions was exactly what God wants for us Americans to change and gain his full favor. Take care and may God bless you and America , Always.

Kelli, the best example of this came from Abraham Lincoln. In his second inaugural address, he said that the Civil War was a divine punishment from God on both the South and the North, for allowing slavery to exist in the first place.

Absolutely! History shows that when people blatantly disobey God as a nation that He comes down on them pretty heavy. If you read in I and II Kings in the Bible, (which is backed up by other historical records), when the Kings of Israel and Judah disobeyed God by refusing to tear down their temples to pagan gods, He brought death and destruction not only on them but also on their country. Those kings experienced shortened lives and bloody and violent deaths. People today need to watch it becoming pagans and following after any gods other than the One True God, Jesus Christ, be thankful that we are currently under His grace.

As Americans we feel chosen by God? No, I'm sorry. God chooses those who believe in him and accept his son Jesus Christ as their Savior. This has nothing to do with National Boundaries.

WRONG. This reasoning is what has us invading other countries and killing innocent people including american soldiers. Trust me we are not that special, everyone is as special as the next, anyone who reads a little history will know that empires come and go, nothing to do with god, just a reality in history.
