Note would prob be easiest but person to person is the best. It gives us nothing to complain about. just make sure to explain yourself thoroughly so you dont get a call back asking why.

Definitely face-to-face. If you break up with as guy through something other than face-to-face, they'll have a hard time looking at you the next time they see you. Tell him your feelings, give him one last kiss, and then attempt to be close friends with him after that. Usually, he'll feel so much better afterward that he won't mind anymore

If you're gonna do it, do it face to face - or at the very least over the phone. Breaking up via a message is tacky, not to mention it's a coward's way out.
