please help me with a friend problem.?

Question

ok, so i have this friend, her name is michelle and shes the
best[est] friend i could ask for. we've been friends since kindergarten, and just yesterday, heres what happenned.
my other friend sammi called and she was like "OMG dont u think michelle is such a loser?" and i thought to myself ok: be smart. if i say yes and agree with her, then michelle wont be my friend anymore. if i DONT agree with her, then ill lose HER as a friend. how was i supposed to keep them both? ok, so i decided to go with this: be smart. ill agree with sammi, but i dont mean it. so i told her, "sammi, yea i agree with u but dont tell michelle." [ i was just kidding when i said that so i could keep both friends ]

so the next day, i go up to michelle and she wont talk to me. what? well, it turns out that michelle was LISTENING IN ON MY PHONE CALL WITH SAMMI. she heard what i said about her. :[
so now, everybodys coming up to me and theyre all "how could u do that!!!" and now, i have like few friends. help

[ oh and i left out 2 important facts ]
1. Michelle TOLD sammi to call me, because michelle wanted to know the truth if i was gonna defend her, or agree with sammi. sammi didnt mean it, she only called me because it was a set-up.
2. Everytime i try to explain it to her, she ignores me/walks away like im not there.

[one more thing]
and when i asked sammi why she thought michelle was a loser, she just said "because michelle trash talked me."

So you say that you knew it was some sort of trick. And then say, I should have asked her why she thought you were such a loser.....wouldn't that have put Sammi in the hot seat!
ON SECOND THOUGHT...who the heck needs friends that play these games! If it was me I could never trust either of them ever again. Do you really think you could ever trust them?

Ok, first of all, never lie to a friend about how you feel about another friend. If they don't want to be your friend simply because you like someone that they don't like, then you don't need them anyway.

Second of all, never never never...i repeat...NEVER talk about a friend behind his/her back. Not because it's wrong (even though it is) but just because you never know who else is listening or if that person will find out.

Now, the best way to fix this is to talk it out with your two friend. Invite them over (I usually bribe my friends with pizza and ice cream) and you can sit down and talk. The best thing to remember is to be rational and understanding of your friend's viewpoint. If after that they still don't want to be your friend, accept it and move on. There are other fish in the sea.

in the bible it is written everything is right but not appropriate.tell misyel that she needs to broaden her way of thinking cause it may bring her in misery .you choose the better way of thinking so you will likely to prevail in most difficult situations,unlike misyel she may be in trouble if she choose the wrong decision because of disbelief or misinformation.don't sacrifice your stand as a smart individual,it is a gift from God and you maybe the counselor of your lost friend every time she thinks improperly.

first of all, you should confront michelle about the problem. explain the situation you were in at the time. if she doesnt except that then she will get over it sooner or later because friends always forgive eachother especially when its over something that stupid =]
