I just had my waist-length hair cut by my long-time stylist (of about 15 years). I gave him only four directives before he began: Make it age-appropriate, flattering, easy to maintain, and no coloring. The resulting cut is just OK and not the transporting experience I'd hoped for. While it's true that the new style's unfamiliarity may be adding to my unhappiness, it's just not flattering. In fact, it's the way my mother-in-law wears her hair.
If you were me, would you live with it, call the stylist and tell him the situation, or make an appointment with someone new?
And if you suggest revisiting the stylist, would you expect that I would have to pay again?
Thanks...

I totally know how you feel. I know I can't see it but you may want to leave it alone, because some times a little bit of new growth starts making it hang allot better, sometimes things that look bad or to blunt or what ever kind of blend in with some new growth, some new growth can even blend the cut when it is actually cut wrong also. If you have it re cut,you may still hate it and your hair will be even shorter. Trust me I totally know where you are coming from. Give it three or four weeks and then if you really can not stand it go have it tweaked a little at the salon. Good luck

Revisit the stylist and tell him you want him to *fix this*. Remind him of the directive that it be flattering and say that you don't feel that it is flattering. If he is not willing to fix it free of charge, get another stylist and go there from now on. If your stylist isn't interested in keeping a long term customer, he's got worse problems than bad taste in styles!

i'm undecided the thank you to respond to this question by way of fact i'm undecided you do recover from the frustration. that is purely something you reside with and manage. i'm no longer attempting to lecture you, purely so which you be responsive to. I actual have had 3 boys and we've needed a woman so the final time it grew to become into incredibly disappointing for each person, even my oldest son who grew to become right into a preschooler. I purely prayed for a healthful toddler that final time, yet i did no longer even get that; he grew to become into stillborn at 28 weeks. it incredibly is the place the "lecturing" is provided in. you will make a sturdy mom, i'm particular, and likely that's actual, in maximum circumstances which you will adore her no rely what, yet purely pray for a healthful toddler and settle for that God has given you a woman for a reason unknown to you suitable now. perchance she would be the 1st lady president, who is conscious. purely take it in stride and don't permit it hardship you in any respect; I propose, keep for her and think of interior the destiny you're able to have a procuring better half and particular a sparkling lifelong superb buddy. I wish you each and every and all the success and the well-being. Please take care.

I recommend that you let your hair grow long(out) again. If you do not like the way your hair grows, then you may have to return to your favorite hairstyle that your stylist knows you like.
Honestly you asked your stylist to remember all of your directives.

yeah you do feel my pain i hear ya. It stinks cause if you can't see your self looking gorgeous then how do you expect others to see you? very disappointing your right. Good luck with it and give it a few days. I'd go back to the origianl stylist. they need to know your not happy at all... So they do not mess up anyone elses hair.

I would definately contact the stylist and tell them that you are not satisfied. And they should NOT charge you for something you've already paid for. You are probably not the only person that has done this before. It's your hair, you need to make it clear that you do not like it. .. Good luck!

this isn't your stylist fault! you did not give him/her an exact cut you wanted to have. you kinda left it in thier hands. ya kinda was asking for a let down. you need to know what you want when getting a new style. you would probably expect to pay again for a new cut conidering you realy didn't know what you wanted. goog luck hope all turns out well!

Oiy, a bad cut is hard to fix. You probably should have given him objective directions because the things you said are so subjective--they can mean different things to different people, so neither of you is at fault.
Can you post a picture? Maybe it's not bad--you're just not used to it.

you shouldn't have to pay again if you are unhappy. the other thing is if you donated it to locks of love you wouldn't have to feel so badly because you would know that no matter what you may look like at least you donated to a good cause.
