I just got out of an 8 year relationship and need to meet someone. I sat at home with the kids the whole time and dont have any friends. I want to get back out into the world and meet a woman, But i dont want to take a chance with getting my heart broken again. Where can i meet a decent woman. I dont want a woman who hangs out at bars, and im not religious enough to try and find one at church.

If you're into something... just go and do it, for example;

If you like reading.. join a book club. Don't join to pick someone up.. just go for fun.. and you might meet someone there.

What I'm saying is just go and do things you like and if you're meant to find someone you will.
Good Luck!

A rant, then an answer.

Rant:
Why do people have this irrational fear of the bar? Face facts: it's a total meat market, but that is the prime reason that the bar is a good bet. It's a "target-rich environment". Not all bar patrons are skanks or sluts, either. Nice girls do go to bars and clubs. Fear is the mindkiller. GET OUT THERE!!!

Answer:
Online's probably your best bet. :P

Have you tried the grocery store? That is a very good place to start. Do not try the laundry mat because if they can't afford their own washing machine you don't need them. I always have good luck in wal-mart at the jewelry counter.
