My daughter learnt to use the potty at the age of 1 half. if your daughter is taking her nappy off by herself then she is ready to be potty trained! although it doesnt happen over night. All me and my partner did was we went to toys r us and brought a wetsy betsy doll and potty and nappies. fill the doll with water and when u sit ur child on the potty get her to put the doll on the potty too! that way she can see that the dool does a wee and so should she! it works! thats how i did it! ( oh and when doll needs a poo put some raisins in the pot without her looking!!) praise lots too!

my daughter is now 3 and she has been dry day and night now for 9 months. we had our niece staying with us for a week and she is 12 months older and was potty trained and my daughter just wanted to copy her. try and invite friends over with child already potty trained. we kept a potty downstairs as well as upstairs, so less accidents, keep asking her if she needs a wee. every time she goes on the potty congratulate her, don't give her treats coz she'll expect this every time and will get expensive, don't shout if she has an accident. and she will get the hang of this it will just take time. also cut down on drinks, too many drinks means more accidents

I just sit her on the potty for 15-20 minutes everyday at least 3 times a day and make a really big deal out of her going to the potty. Yea you went pee-pee in the potty!!!! Encourage her and she'll go. Children love praise from parents.

You need to take her to the potty every 15-20minutes and give her a chance to go its very tedious and time consuming but soon youll be nappy free....you can try a reward program...where you have stickers on a wall chart of her fav character or just stars...everytime she does something in the potty give her a sticker and get her to put it on the chart...obviously a huge round of applause and a bit of a happy dance afterward never goes astray....
Good luck

what we did for my niece is every 2 hours or so we would take her into the bathroom and sit her on the potty. she had to sit there for like 2 mintues. and regardless if she went or not she was able to get a treat for herself and to share with the others just for sitting on the potty... took less than 6 months and she was potty-trained at 2 and half years old!!!

Rewarding her is a good way of doing it. When I was trying to get my son to sleep in his own bed, I gave him a star for going to bed and another for staying there all night and then got him something nice at the end of the week. It only took a week. So the same sort of thing, give her a star for sitting on it and a star for using it! My son used to do a number one in the potty but used to use the toilet for a number two... so getting a child seat for the toilet is also a good idea. They tend to do it in their own time.

Hope this helps.

I got my sons used to potties from 18 months just sitting on them etc....i tried several times from then on. However, when they were ready it happen in weeks not months. Don't push it. Let her sit on the potty, reward her when she wees/poos in it. never show anger/disappointment when she has an accident. put pants on her if she gets wet she will start to link the sensation to wetting her pants..and therefore doing a wee. Try pull ups for when you need her to where a nappy she might like them better.

hope this helps you

Sit her on it without her nappy on as much as possible.
If she does perform, even if its not intentional, praise her to the hilt. She will want to do it again then to get mum and dad to tell what a good girl she is.
Both my daughters werent full trained in the day until 2 and a half. My son was even later.
Good Luck!
