First, congrats on getting yourself into school - that's step one of finding success.
Second, as has been said, you shouldn't rely on others for motivation and/or support, though it sure would be nice to receive some. But if these other people are doubting you, the least they could do is STFU - they're only being negative and need you to fail so they can feel better about themselves. Bypass their input and move forward with yourself.
Third, make friends at school. The other students are probably there for the same reasons as you, so if you find that you like others' support, you'll have kinship with them and can support each other. Loosely, that's called "networking" and is something that will come in handy when you're job-seeking.
OK, I'm sure there are other things that we can tell you to help pump you up, but I can't think of much else right now. Good luck to you and I hope you find success and happiness. : )
(Oh yeah: cut out the booze.)

By believing in yourself and proving your critics wrong. The hurt you feel from people telling you will not make it, channel that energy into your success. It will take MUCH work and long hours but in the end the rewards will be met!
Don't let alcohol be your crutch! I too went to a community college, graduated and had people laugh in my face when I told them what I was doing as well. I have done a hundred small projects, did work for my class reunion and looking at landing my first MAJOR ad account, after only 2 yrs in business!
In order to get motivated you have to seek out deep inside of yourself answers to where you would like to be in this many years, what material things are you willing to give up now to obtain, greater material things, but most importantly what do you want out of your money situation period in ex amount of years.
My big GOAL in my business to to make enough money to pay for my kids to go to college! That's what motivates me to move forward. The PR work is just a simple thing compared to the big picture!

Buddy O Buddy.. Are you playing the poor poor pitiful game here?!! Come on now.. We have all been there and done that time to time sometimes more than others! You need to pick yourself up and get on with life.. Life is simple!! You already started something great.. you are in school!!! Let that be your challenge and go from there.. friends will come and go.. you are lucky to find one true friend in life.. for now have fun with the people who are around you!! I have never gotten support from friends when I was in school either.. no big deal! You have to want it in your heart and mind and you will do it!! Drinking isnt going to help you do a damn thing and you know you are going to hear a ton of BS from asking that question on here.. so be prepared for it!! IF you do need help go talk to a couselor.. someone who doesnt know a thing about you!! It helps if you do feel like you need to go that far! Dont do anything stupid to mess your whole rest of your life up! Today is today .. tomorrow is a brand new day so make the most out of it! Don't dwell on what happened yesterday or weeks months ago.. its in the past now learn from you past and move on .. make the best out of what you do everyday! Good luck to you buddy!

Matt, At college you will find great motivation and a sense of achievement by helping others. Join a resource room that need help for other students and give them all you have to offer. In return you will find good and helpful friends through your college experience. God Bless

I have always believed that God helps those who help themself. You must start by doing something about your drinking. Underneath everything you feel there is a good and productive person crying to come out, and only you can do it. You must love yourself and tell yourself you can do anything you want. Believing in yourself is where you will start. What other people think of you should not matter. Please yourself and you will please others. Matt as a mother I know you can do this.So shake yourself off and start all over again. My prayers will be for you.

Just tell yourself you'll make it, you can do anything, and when you do you'll show them all up!! Ultimately you will need the motivation! You can do whatever you want; tons of people get through college and make something of themselves and there's absolutely no reason why you can't too!

You sound like my daughter whilst ahe replaced into in college. Her "than" husband replaced into giving her a tricky time and he or she replaced into at her writs end which you may communicate. that they had financial concern, and to assist them with issues like being depressed or that ole excuse "settle their nerves" they started smoking. Yeah precise all of us with money concern needs a $250 a month "new" drug habit and that like alcohol is all cigerrets are. Now 8 years later they have collectively spent a minimum of $25,000 on smoking and teach no enable up from this disgusting habit yet. the element is the final concern you decide directly to do is to dive into drugs, alcohol, or smoking once you have your back against the wall. to proceed to exist regardless of in case you haven't any longer any buddies you could no longer purchase em, drink them into being your buddies(besides the persons you drink with are in as plenty concern as you're). you may cool it off, take a seat and think of ablut the place you decide directly to bypass in life, because of the fact whilst college is over the fact of self help is obtainable in like a bang. you could teach the headbangers, and naysayers up by using arising with precise grades, and attempting to excell in each little thing you do. you won't do it each little thing, yet you will end first in a lot of them. you will never end first in something with boose, drugs or issues that make you ill like tobbacco or melancholy.. bypass the place the persons you may choose to have as buddies grasp out at yet whilst they are into drugs or alcohol rather of school stay away and develope conduct that allow you to're making new buddies. do no longer assume mor ethan yu are bodily or mentally or financially waiting to grant precise now. locate the %. you could excel in and bypass from there. Take a course like Dale Cargnie" in college. it rather is been a motivator for many useful people. reliable luck

you should never depend on anyone for anything, especially when you're talking about motivation.
if your drive does not come from within, then you will not succeed.
