I had thought you shouldn't have anything but Special K. My doctor said I need to eat 1 egg, 1 slice of whole wheat toast, and O.J. In other words, Protein, grains and fruit. All which can help you sustain energy while not getting the munchies before lunch.

I realize that it's a good idea to start out the day with a nutritious breakfast that will help stop cravings later on that morning. But since most breakfast foods seem to rely on things that are either sweet, greasy, or full of eggs, I tend to go with a non-traditional breakfast.

I may have a bowl of soup or a small plate of sliced tomatoes and French dressing. Whatever I have for breakfast, diet or no, it's not going to be the same things you'd find on the menu at Denny's, that's for sure.

Even when on a diet you can't forget that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Eat something healthy, but don't be afraid of seconds. If you eat more at the beginning of the day you won't be snacking as much as you usually do.

Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day since it starts up your metabolism for the day. It is actually my favorite meal of the day. When dieting, however, I feel there isn't much out there for breakfast since I don't like grains, wheat, etc., and eating too many eggs isn't good either.

That it doesn't matter to me, because I usually don't eat breakfast anyway. So when I diet, it's an easy part of the day to get through.

The correct way of eating is:

Eat like a King/Queen at Breakfast.
Eat like a Prince/Princess at Lunch.
Eat like a Pauper at Dinner.

That the stuff they serve at IHOP isn't heart healthy LOL. I really don't eat bacon and eggs and all that stuff that much (I don't even like eggs).

Most of the time, I'll have a slimfast or a fruit smoothie.
