If you aren't together there isn't much you can do about it. If you are together talk to him about it and tell him that money cannot buy their love. He has to gain love, trust and respect by the way he treats them and by the time he spends with them not by the thigns he buys them.

first does he live with you if not, he's probably buying out of guilt of not being there. if he does just let him know that he might be setting them up for failure what i mean is children should learn to earn things if not they will think every thing should be handed to them. which is untrue. expensive things should be given as a rerward. if not bad behavoir gets a gift,disobedience get him a gift,talking back to mom another gift see where i'm going with this so try talking one more time.( mom with spoiled rotten kids.)

tell him if he wants to spoil them to put the money in the bank towards college. that will spoil them in the long run. plus give them better futures.

You have to try to talk to him. Explain to him that when they are given expensive items that they don't appreciate it and it will create problems down the road.

I say as long as they arent brats and you can afford to spoil them, then do it!

That doesn't mean spoiling. Spoiling is letting them be impolite, uncaring.
