We walk her everyday, in the woods or beach for long distances. The last 2 nights she has woken us to "go outside." Today she must have tried to pee at least 30 times. Any suggestion as to what this could be, besides a urinary tract infection?

Like you said, a UTI, or kidney failure, or bladder stones, or kidney stones. You should definitely get her to the vet ASAP to find out exactly what's wrong... if it's kidney failure, and you wait too long, by the time you go, the damage could be irreversible.

She could have a bladder or kidney infection. Or she could have kidney stones, so she wants to pee but she can't get it out. That can be life threatening. Please don't make her wait until she is in a lot of pain take her to the vet. She definitely has something wrong that needs immediate help.

Sounds like a UTI but may possibly be stones. Best bet is to take her to the vet and bring along a urine sample for analysis. They can most likely run it in house and you will have your answer. You will most likely need to put her on antibiotics to clear up an infection if it is present.

You didn't say why not a UTI...Are you sure? Based on those symptons, that is the most likely case. It could also be kidney or bladder stones, which require an x-ray to determine. Get to the vet!

UTI sounds accurate; my dog is getting old and had a bladder infection recently. Always had to go to the bathroom, but barely a drop came out. (We took care of it, though, and it's gone now.)
You should take her to the vet so they can prescribe medicine and (maybe) a different diet.

My cat had that problem and he had to have surgery. If you don't take your dog to the vet, it could be fatal. Don't mean to scare you, but your dog needs some medical attention!
