The story of Mary's purity and the virgin birth were not part of the original messianic tale of Jesus. These things, which were part of popular pagan stories of the time, were added long after the Christian church was founded.

well, tickle me, Elmo. Have another doob, bro.
Now this is really tough, and only for those of us who are mature enough to hear the truth, OK? Warning given...
Historians examining texts from this era often see this expression "virgin birth" used not to describe an immaculate conception, but a child conceived out of wedlock. But the idea of Jesus being an illegitimate child doesn't play well into the mythology. So the alternative interpretation was cemented around the time of Constantine.
There actually WERE mental facilities in Rome in that day. But they weren't pretty.
And finally, Jesus and his family never considered him the son of god. Jesus never referred to himself as the son of god. He referred to himself as the "Son of Man." Once when questioned by the Saducces, Jesus answered "yes" to the question "are you the messiah?" So that's pretty weak even by today's terms.
We have every indication that Jesus lived a happy and normal life with his parents and family, worked hard, studied hard, and none of what you suggest.

Poor Jesus is right! He DIED a very painful death for you. He thought of you as He was stripped, whipped, spit upon, humiliated, given a crown of thorns, nailed upon the cross, not wanting you to perish. Ask His forgiveness before it's too late. HE IS THE SON OF GOD AND MARY WAS HIS BELOVED MOTHER.

I think you might have a point. I even think the woman about to be stoned to death could have been an analogy for what had happened to his mother. His mother and her isolation and disgrace must have had a dramatic impact on his young psyche, to make him want to erase all sin from the world.

No, Jesus always knew who he was. It too bad you have not
heard or believed his saving grace or his holy powers. There was several Marys in the bible. The one you are referring to was not the mother of Jesus. One was Jesus earthly mother . Another was one of his converts, not his lover as you may think.

You really shouldn't disrespect Jesus or the Blessed Mother like that.
You may not believe in the story, but why bash what makes so many people happy?

NO. Jesus believed he was the son of God, because he IS the son of God.

I am not a Christian but might I say that you sound so wound up about the faith that it is verging on becoming a full blown neurosis. Maybe you ought to explore the faith a little are speak to a professional who might aid you in getting over your numerous hang ups.
