I dont think of it is going to impact the BIOS settings, simply by fact the BIOS isn't component to the OS (Windwos XP), the only component that gets replaced whilst resintalling the OS is the perplexingcontinual. including all the settings you have in abode windows XP no longer including BIOS settings.

You didn't tell us what brand of computer you use? Different motherboards use different BIOSes. Here are some common key combinations to get into the Setup program:

F1, F2, F10, Del, Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Enter, Ctrl+Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Esc, Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+S, Insert. If none of these work, you will have to tell us what type of computer you are using. Or search google for the model number and BIOS.

Hitting the escape key on bootup should take you to bios.
