The sores are on the face, large, bleeding and never scab over. The sores on legs and arms seem to scab over then begin bleeding without agitation. Person does not think clearly. Never on the job

My God! Get this person to a doctor -immediately! Have the Dept. of Health, in your state/county/prov. investigate. The scope of diagnosis is very variable,from what you describe. Anything from uncleanliness,bedbugs,legitimate skin condition,going untreated to a psychological problem (where when "this person" is alone, they pick at themselves).. its a form of "self mutilation" others "cut" themselves. So no one on Yahoo!Answers can answer this "question" with certainty. Whatever you have to do,DO IT, even talk to the police.

sounds like shingles, a different version of the same virus that causes chickenpox.
