Philosophically no, but on a reasonable assumption level yes.
Dreams usually are less vivid and have continuity problems. Often in dreams you do things which are out of the ordinary like flying. Also you do not feel physical pain in your dreams.
Though this is an interesting philosophical question reasonable assumption should ~snap~ you right out of it.

If you are experiencing something too complex for the human mind to make up immediately (say a complex musical arrangement or conversation) you're in reality.
Truthfully, if you can't tell, what difference does it make? Just treat it as reality and go on.....

It doesn't matter. Both are realms of reality. But you can't eat and sustain life in a dream. Your body would starve to death.
