Social reasons -- I have a couple of drinks when I go out for dinner with friends at a writer's conference each year. And I have a beer or two during the summer months just because I like the taste. S

Well.I like the feeling of being a bit tipsy, conversation flows more easily and you lose some inhibitions;things can get said which you would've plucked up the courage to do otherwise.. I like to meet up with people I know in a pub;it's a sociable venue and noone has to play host/hostess..However,I don't like people getting too drunk;too many things can get said, people are more likely to lose their temper and cause a bad scene.. Alcohol should be drunk, only as a social thing and in moderation. S

I enjoy a drink now and then to relax me. I did used to be a big drinker just for the sake of drinking, but now i am a mum and am not interested in getting completely smashed anymore.

Hahaha, funny with the letters at the end. But, most people who are drunk probably will forget that detail, hehe.

I don't drink that often, but when I do, it's to have fun. Sober fun is always great, but drunk fun is completely different. You let loose more, laugh louder, and do crazier (and possibly illegal) things.

i drink because i am on my own most evenings, i am in a
relationship of nine years, i see my partner 4 nights a week and cook really nice food from scratch, we dont have a sexual relationship, he has a OCD which is very difficult to deal with, and has a problem with anything sexual, he's cheated on me, and only seems to be interested in what floats his boat. he is a very kind and generous person but lacking in the up close and personal department. i just want him to love me, he's my best mate but its wearing a little thin!!!! alcohol is a refuge. sad as it may seem, i would like to move on, but dont know how ( How about i for inbetween)

My dancing improves the more I drink (well that's how it seems to me).

Now I'm a mature, responsible man it's a nice way to relax. When I was a teenager it was to see which mates you could drink under the table. Sad but true.
