The birds fly in through the large doors where they unload trucks. I work at a pet store that has large back doors and we have 2-3 sparrows/finches flying around. They eat whatever drops on the floor (bird seed, cat food, dog food, horse feed, etc.) and drink out of the fish tanks. We don't try to catch them because it's near impossible and they live just fine. I'm sure Costco is the same way.

OMG I have seen birds at all the Costco's in Ontario that I have been to. I would be interested in knowing whereabouts the Costco is you are talking about. LOL I guess they all have them. Which means they were put there intentionally and they wouldn't be trying to get them out of the store.

They don't usually but some stores have a humane way of doing it with some sticky film the bird fly into and stick and then they remove them and let go out away from the stores. They actually have someone come in and do this they do not do it themselves..

I know there are places that have a machine that annoys the birds, I'm not sure if they use it. There is allso a putty that smells bad that they don't like.

well, they lure the birds by tossing in their glass containers bird food, and then they sneak up and capture them. but i think thats wrong and they should be free.
